Satellite Regatta February 2, 2002 Jake Nevin Fieldhouse Villanova, PA The Main Line Slide is the official Philadelphia area Concept II satellite regatta for the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships. The 2001 edition was a great success. General Information The Main Line Slide offers competition in events for men and women, heavyweight and lightweight, from juniors through veterans. In addition to these standard satellite regatta events, the Main Line Slide adds the opportunity for athletes to compete as a crew, against one another using the Concept II Slide. As a separate entry, an organization's squad of eight will qualify individually, then compete as a crew in the final event of the day. The crew closest to the C.R.A.S.H.-B. qualifying time in their event will win a complete set of nine slides for their organization - a $1200 value. |  |
2002 knecht cup The 2002 Knecht Cup will be held on Saturday, April 13, on the Cooper River in Camden, NJ. This year's regatta will provide competition for nearly fifty schools from California to Maine, Wisconsin to Florida. The generic entry form declaring which events you wish to enter is due, with entry fees, no later than March 14th. The entry/boating form, including racing line-ups, may be submitted at any time up to and including race day. These forms are included in the entry packet, available for download at right. PLEASE NOTE: A previous version of the entry packet had the women's lightweight requirements incorrectly listed as a 135 lb. maximum. This was an error. Lightweight women must weigh no more than 130 lbs. Race Info - Entry fees are as follows: eights $50, fours/quads $40, pairs $30. - A fifty percent late fee will apply to any generic entry forms received after the March 14th deadline. - For all novice categories (men's and women's eights and fours) preliminary heats might be held in a head race format, with the top six times advancing to the final. This will depend on the number of entries. - There will be starting platforms and buoys for every lane. Coaches, please make sure your coxswains know how to negotiate a starting platform prior to raceday. - Please be sure to submit a complete team roster for publication in the racing program. to download the entry packet click here |
